Special Needs Support Assistant - Full-Time, Batley

Accelerate Teaching are on the lookout for a SEN TA to work with a child in Key Stage 2 (KS2) at a primary school in Batley. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, offering an incredible opportunity to positively impact the life of a young learner while gaining invaluable experience before the end of term.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children with ADHD, Autism, or SEMH is essential.
  • Resilience: Must be prepared to work with challenging behaviour and adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • Passion: A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide tailored support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a child with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to support positive behaviour and minimise disruptions in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and behaviour intervention plans.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
