About the Role



This particular school, located just outside of the M25 to the West, (Berkshire) are looking to recruit a number of SEN teaching assistants on to permanent contracts from September 2024. This teaching assistant role will focus on supporting primary aged children with a personalised curriculum to suit the needs of learners with SEN – autism, communication, language and challenging behaviours. AS an SEN teaching assistant you will be working with children who have been diagnosed with autism, communication, language and challenging behaviours.



About You




  • You’ll be there to help children learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem

  • Have 3 years + experience as a teaching assistant or similar in a mainstream or specialist setting

  • Hold a level 3 teaching assistant qualification, or equivalent

  • Experience working in an SEN setting is desirable, however not essential

  • Mainstream teaching assistants with a passion and interest of working with special needs are highly encouraged to apply

  • You will need to be resilient and dedicated to your profession to truly make a difference

  • Be committed to providing children with a nurturing and motivating atmosphere

  • Understand the importance of enjoyment of learning and encouraging children to reach their full potential
