Connex Education is working with a SEMH Alternative School in Stockton who are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work full- time.

About the school

The school itself caters for pupils with a range of needs including
SEMH, ADHD, Attachment and Behaviour issues. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting KS 3 and 4 Students within the classroom.

All staff at the school aim to provide pupils with a nurturing and engaging learning environment. They are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who is hard working, resilient and who wants to make a difference to pupils

education by supporting them.

Assignment Details

This role will commence in September 2024 ready for the new academic year.

Person Specification

• Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH conditions.
• Knowledge of child development and learning needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must hold a DBS on update service or willing to apply for one. 
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt lessons as needed.
• Good organization and multitasking abilities
