This primary school in Harlow, Essex are looking to appoint a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive school. You will be working with children specific special educational needs. As the successful SEN Teaching Assistant for this role, you will need to be enthusiastic and dedicated to making a difference to childrens learning.
This role is open to recent graduates who are looking to gain experience within a primary school working with SEN before embarking on either a career in teaching or SEN. They will also welcome experienced SEN Teaching Assistants.
You will need to enjoy working with children and be passionate and committed to helping children develop as independent and confident individuals.
Your Role:
Work under the guidance of the class teacher in planning and implementation of work with individuals and group of pupils with SEN.
Provide general support to the class teacher in the management of organisation of pupils with SEN in the classroom
Assist the class teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment
Promote the inclusion of all pupils ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop
The Ideal Candidate:
Hold strong GCSEs in English & Maths
Have experience working in schools or with children in UK
OR Be a recent graduate with aspirations of becoming a primary school teacher, SEN Teacher, educational psychologist, speech and language therapist or career working with children
Or hold a Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning
Ideally have experience working with children or adults with SEN
Ideally have experience of working with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language and OR other Special Educational Needs
