SEN Teaching Assistant role – Special Needs School

Location: Bournemouth Area

Start Date: September 2024

Contract Type: Long-term

Salary: £75 – £85 per day (depending on experience)

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30

Job Description:


  • Some experience with children with additional needs preferred (SEMH, ASC, ADHD etc)
  • This school is looking an SEN teaching assistant with DT and art specialism to support either 1:1 or in a small group.
  • Desire to work throughout Key stage 2, 3 and 4 (7-16-year olds)
  • Working with small groups delivering interventions such as Reading, Maths and Literacy
  • Part time role with the opportunity of a permanent contract
  • Location: Bournemouth
  • Start Date: September 2024
  • Contract Length: Long Term – Potential to become permanent
  • Hours: 8:30 -15:30

Individual Profile:


  • A nurturing and caring nature
  • GCSE Maths and English to A- C grade
  • Experience of working with children/young people
  • Passionate, enthusiastic and proactive individual
  • Adaptable and sensitive when dealing with challenging situations
  • First Aid trained or be willing to be trained
