SEN Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is thrilled to be working with an Primary Schools located across Leeds & North Yorkshire, who are currently looking for 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants. The schools create an inclusive learning environment, encourage both staff and pupils to strive for continuous improvement and development, and are searching for SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team of dedicated staff.
The successful applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent, and they must have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be confident in a classroom environment and will be able to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will:
Be working 1:1 with children who have Special Educational Needs and/or require additional support
Have previous experience working with children who have SEN
Be able to take instruction from the Class Teacher and support them during the day.
