Academics are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team at a flourishing 3 form entry primary school in Hounslow. The school has a loving and caring environment. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to an inclusive educational environment where every child is valued and supported.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils with ASD, tailored to their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Support pupils in their social and emotional development, helping them build confidence and independence.
  • Assist in creating a positive, engaging classroom atmosphere that promotes learning and well-being.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, providing feedback and reports as required.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have experience working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and an understanding of their unique needs. You will have a compassionate and patient approach, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have the relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience. The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals and a proactive and adaptable attitude, with a genuine commitment to supporting the success of every pupil in Hounslow.
