Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate SEN teaching assistant to join as part of a school team in Newham, starting as soon as possible to aid the education and training sector to make a change. The school are looking for applicants who are proactive and can show their enthusiasm when it comes to supporting students.

About the role:

  • Start date: Immediate start
  • Located in East London with multiple sites from E13-E16 postal code all based in Newham.
  • Working with SEN pupils from a primary setting up till the age of 15.
  • SEN teaching assistants must be able to effectively manage the needs of students which could include but are not limited to: PMLD, Autism, Learning Difficulties, Physical Needs, Some Non-verbal, Challenging behaviour and Help with personal care.
  • Role requires working 5 days per week- site is allocated based on experience
  • Class sizes vary from 8- 12 students (many opportunities for 1-1 work with students)
  • Salary- �85-�95 per day

The successful SEN teaching assistant will need:

  • Candidates must have a CHILD & ADULT DBS or be willing to apply for one
  • Passion for education - ideal candidate must be proactive and engaging
  • Strong communication/listening skills
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the discussed site in Newham.
  • Previous experience in a similar role with SEN is ideal.
