SEN Teaching Assistant

GSL Education are currently working with a wonderful Special Needs Secondary school situated close to Cosham. This school are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.

This school caters for children who have special educational needs, including those with social and communication difficulties, autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, dyslexia and dyspraxia.

The school has a range of fantastic facilities such as a swimming pool, lots of sports facilities as well as an outdoor gardening area where the children can learn and grow. 

Job role:

-            Supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and communication skills.

-            Conducting targeted interventions focused on the individual needs of a child. 

-            Working under the guidance of a teacher supporting small groups of pupils with learning tasks.

-            Creating a supportive and nurturing environment where the needs of all children are met.

-            Safeguarding will be your number one priority ensuring the welfare of the pupils.

Job specification:

-            Full time 8:30am – 3:30pm (Mon – Fri)

-            £83.33 - £95 per day

-            Temporary to permanent contract

-            Location: Cosham

-            Start date: ASAP
