Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Tottington. In this vital role, you will provide tailored 1:1 support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those facing challenges related to behaviour, ADHD, and autism. We're looking for someone committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Individual Support: Offer customised assistance to children with SEN, adapting activities to meet their unique needs and enhancing their learning experience.
- Behaviour Management: Use effective strategies to help children manage their emotions and interactions, fostering a calm and supportive atmosphere.
- Classroom Collaboration: Work closely with the classroom teacher to modify lesson plans and resources, ensuring full participation for all students.
- Outdoor Supervision: Ensure the safety and inclusion of children during outdoor activities and breaks.
- Progress Monitoring: Keep accurate records of student progress and behaviour, regularly communicating with the classroom teacher and SENCO.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow teaching assistants and professionals to create a cohesive support network for students.
- Safeguarding Practices: Uphold safeguarding policies, prioritizing the well-being of all children.

- Minimum Rate of Pay: �90+ per day
- Hours: 8:20 AM - 3:45 PM
- End Date: July 2025 (with potential for extension)
Experience, Training, and Qualifications
- Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Experience in a UK school or with children with SEN is essential.
- Training: Current safeguarding training within the last year is desirable; training will be provided.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, you must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Have an enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
- Provide two professional childcare references.
