Job Description

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities? Step Teachers are working with a Primary School in Wymondham and surrounding schoools to find a SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team long-term starting in November 2024. The role is expected to last for a number of weeks and the school is eager to find a SEND Teaching Assistant who will readily contribute towards their welcoming and encouraging learning environment during this time.

SEND Teaching Assistant - Role:

\n

• Making a positive impact on the lives of children with diverse learning needs.
• Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivery of activities.
• Supporting the development of children’s language and communication skills.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and providing pastoral support to children when required.
• Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements.

SEND Teaching Assistant - Requirements:
• Previous experience working as an SEND Teaching Assistant.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
