  • Help with daily routines, transitions, and personal care as required, ensuring the child's well-being and comfort.
  • Assist the child in social skills development, fostering inclusion and confidence in the school environment.
  • Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to the teacher and other staff members to ensure consistent support.
  • Promote a calm and supportive learning environment, using positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with autism or special educational needs, ideally in an early years setting.
  • Knowledge of autism and the strategies that support learning and behaviour management.
  • A calm, patient, and compassionate approach, with a strong understanding of how to support children with additional needs.

Benefits:

  • Competitive pay, in line with experience and qualifications.
  • A rewarding role in a supportive school environment, where your contributions make a real difference in a child's development.
  • Professional development opportunities, including training and support for working with children with autism and SEND.
  • A collaborative and inclusive team dedicated to student success and well-being.
  • Access to well-being programs to support a healthy work-life balance.
