Are you a passionate and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant ready to support students with additional needs? About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. You'll work alongside teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support, enabling pupils to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • 1:1 and Small Group Support: Provide targeted assistance to children, helping them overcome challenges and engage with their learning.
  • Promote Independence: Encourage students to build confidence and develop essential life skills.
  • Work Closely with Staff: Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a Positive Environment: Create a safe and supportive space for learning where every pupil feels valued.
  • Monitor Progress: Track and report on student development, celebrating their achievements and identifying areas for further support.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in SEN: Prior experience working with children with additional needs, particularly in a school setting.
  • Patience and Compassion: A caring and understanding approach, with a commitment to making a difference.
  • Adaptability: Ability to respond to varying needs and challenges in a fast-paced school environment.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Confidence in working with both staff and parents to provide cohesive support for pupils.
