GSL Education is partnering with an SEN school in Plymouth to recruit passionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistants for full-time, long-term positions, with the opportunity to secure a permanent role. The school offers a highly personalised educational experience for students with complex needs, including tailored timetables and one-to-one support. It caters to students across Key Stages 1 to 4, particularly those at risk of needing residential placements or transitioning from out-of-county care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support and mentorship as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop tailored support strategies.
• Foster a nurturing environment to enhance students’ social and communication skills.
• Assist with academic tasks and implement strategies to promote positive behavioural outcomes.

Requirements

• UK Driving Licence and Access to a Car (with business insurance).
• Availability for immediate start on a full-time, term-time basis.
• Strong communication skills to support collaboration with students and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each student.
