About the Role:

• Position: Learning Support Assistant
• Contract: Full-time, permanent position available following a successful probation period
• Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, working closely with teachers to provide tailored assistance to individuals and small groups of students. Your role will involve promoting inclusivity, helping students develop their confidence, and ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support or small group assistance to students with additional learning needs.
• Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work alongside teachers to adapt lesson materials to suit individual learning styles.
• Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive learning attitudes.
• Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents where necessary.
• Support students in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or care setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
• Flexibility, patience, and resilience.
• Transferable skills from roles such as Support Worker, Youth Worker, Care Worker, or similar are highly desirable.
