SEN Teaching Assistant

ABC Teachers are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant with SEMH experience to work at a local primary school based in Tamworth starting as soon as possible.

The role:

The successful candidate will be working on a one to one basis with a SEN student, offering their full support to the child and otehr staff members. This will be based at a school in the central Tamworth area working Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30. The role is to begin from as soon as possible until the end of the Summer Term with the potential to be extended. 

Requirements:

• A strong passion for learning and showing creativity.
• Patience, Resilience and Reliability
• Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
• Strong interpersonal skills to cater to the specific needs of the pupil.
• Be able to provide two professional references from within the last two years.
• Hold a DBS registered on the update service or must be willing to obtain one.
• Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within education or a similar environment.

The School:

The role will be based within the SEND Provision at a one-form entry school based in the central tamworth area. The school has a recent Ofsted rating as 'Good'.
