Randstad Education has been partnering with this outstanding school in Derby which is dedicated to providing exceptional education and support for children and young people with a wide range of needs, including sensory processing difficulties and mild learning disabilities.

Your Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital classroom and one-to-one support for children with Autism, Speech & Language difficulties, and other learning needs. You will work closely with teachers to adapt lessons, encourage social interaction, and create a safe and engaging learning space for every child.

What We're Looking For:

• A caring and dedicated individual with a passion for SEN support.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential).
• A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
• Knowledge of EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) and differentiation techniques.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assist children with learning activities and behaviour management.
• Adapt resources to suit individual learning needs.
• Foster students' confidence and independence in a structured learning environment.
• Monitor and record student progress, feeding back to the SENCO and teachers.
• Support with personal care where necessary.
