SEN Teaching Assistant

Academics are currently on the hunt for an experienced SEN Teaching assistant to work in schools throughout Blaenau Gwent.

If you have good experience in school settings or just with SEN children in general then this role could be a great fit for you!

The role is looking to start after Easter and run through until the end of the academic year. There will also be an opportunity for extension into the start of the next academic year if the school thinks you are doing a great job!

Expectations of a SEN Teaching assistant in Blaenau Gwent:

You will need to be able to assist SEN pupils in the classroom, whilst being comfortable in group and 1 to 1 situations with pupils.

You have to have great classroom management skills and be willing to aid the teacher with any challenging behaviour that may occur within the classroom.

Being understanding and empathetic of the SEN pupils struggles and specific needs is essential.
