The Role: In this position, you will work closely with students who require additional support , helping them navigate both academic and social challenges . Your primary responsibilities include:
• Specialised Support: Provide targeted assistance to students, adapting learning materials and strategies to meet their individual needs. • Progress Monitoring: Track the progress of students, offering feedback to teachers and parents to ensure that they are reaching key developmental milestones. • Emotional Support: Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, offering emotional guidance to help students manage their challenges effectively. • Communication: Maintain strong lines of communication with teachers, parents, and professionals involved in each student's education, ensuring a holistic approach to their development. • Promoting Inclusion: Encourage a sense of belonging for students, promoting social integration and inclusivity within the school community.
Requirements: • Relevant experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role. • Strong empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills . • The ability to work collaboratively within a team , adapting to meet the unique needs of each student. • Experience in implementing individualised learning plans (IEPs) and supporting students in both one-on-one and group settings is advantageous.
