Tribunal Officer 

3 month interim contract

Inside IR35 – £360 per day (via umbrella)

Hybrid - 1 day on site

Due to a restructure this local authority is looking for a Tribunal Officer to support the SEN team as they work through a number of complaints and tribunal cases. This is a busy council looking for support with a confident interim ready for a fast paced environment.
Your duties as Tribunal Officer:




  • To represent the Council in SEND Tribunal appeals

  • Drafting the LA’s response to appeals          

  • To take responsibility for advising parents, schools, colleges and providers in implementing SEND decisions

  • To manage and oversee the whole Tribunal and Appeals process for young people from 0 up to age 25



Experience needed as Tribunal Officer:




  • Must have previous experience presenting

  • Have experience of mediation and prevention

  • Knowledge of the SEND Tribunal process, able to write case statements

  • Expert knowledge on SEND legislation
