We are proud to be working with a fantastic Secondary PRU who are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join their friendly and supportive team. Whether you already hold the SENCO qualification or are eager to pursue it, your expertise and commitment to SEND are crucial. This will be a part time role, 2- 3 days per week.
In this role, you'll work closely with the Head and senior colleagues to identify and remove barriers to learning for students with complex SEND needs.
The purpose of the role will be to support students with complex special educational needs to remove barriers to learning and enable greater access to the national curriculum. You will lead, deliver, embed and facilitate alternative provision for an identified cohort of SEND students and promote Literacy and Numeracy skills, with an emphasis on additional support that promotes good mental health, emotional regulation and emotional well-being.
The successful candidate is expected to carry out the professional duties of a teacher in accordance with the current DfE Teachers Pay and Conditions document and those described in the outcomes. You will be a consistently good or outstanding practitioner by ensuring that teaching is of the highest quality and is innovative, engaging and enjoyable whilst committed to driving standards to ensure whole school impact.
