We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a school in Essex. This is a permanent, full-time position paid through the leadership scale (teacher pay scale).
Key Responsibilities:- Overseeing the SEN provision and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
- Coordinating and supporting the identification and assessment of students with special educational needs
- Developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students with SEN
- Providing training and guidance to staff on SEN strategies and best practices
Qualifications and Experience:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to complete it
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
