Role: Experienced ALN/SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Wrexham, North Wales

Type of School: Secondary

Hours: Full or Part time (Mon - Friday)

Pay: £83.33 - £85 a day - experience depending

Tradewind are seeking experienced and passionate Teaching Assistants to provide day-to-day support to students with ALN/SEND in secondary schools across Wrexham. We work with a variety of schools of varying sizes and needs and require someone who is adaptable and flexible.

Have you worked with children?

Have you got experience working within a school?

Have you worked as a social worker or supported people with additional needs?

Are you patient and able to support students with ALN/SEND?

Have you worked with children with Autism, ADHD or SEMH?

Can you help the class teacher manage behaviour effectively and follow school polices?

Have you got an enhanced DBS and EWC Registration?

Role & Responsibilities:

• Help teachers deliver KS3 and KS4 in line with the National Curriculum.
• Supervise and support learners in classrooms, group settings and one to one.
• Support children with additional needs - ALN/SEND and EAL.
• Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assisting in the organisation and preparation of learning materials for a dynamic educational setting.
• Maintaining transparent communication with teachers, parents, and stakeholders is integral to supporting the overall development of students.

Please note: All applicants will be subject to thorough employment checks and must have an Enhanced Child Only DBS on the Update Service certificate in place. Candidates without an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service will need to apply for a new certificate through Tradewind Recruitment. Payable by the candidate and refunded by us after working for 20 days! Candidates must register with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) to work in education in Wales. Registration fee payable by the candidate.
