Position: SEND Classroom Support
Location: Meldreth, Nr Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (£20,941.63 - £22,834.95 actual salary), depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care and support to children and young people in a residential environment, helping them with daily routines and activities.
• Assist young people with PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism in achieving their personal and developmental goals.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment that promotes equality and well-being.
• Encourage independence and help develop essential life skills through engaging activities and outings.
• Support personal care needs and be involved in physical intervention when required.

• Are compassionate and dedicated to working with children and young people with additional needs.
• Are proactive, patient, and committed to helping young people overcome challenges.
• Enjoy working in residential care and are enthusiastic about promoting social and emotional development.
• Are creative, flexible problem solvers with a positive approach.
• Are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Possess strong communication skills, particularly when working with children with specific communication needs.
• Hold a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Are keen to work towards further qualifications, fully funded by us.
