We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Science Teacher to join a specialised educational setting in Ripon. This part-time role offers an opportunity to work with students who require additional support, ensuring they achieve their potential in Science.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant qualifications.
• Proven experience teaching GCSE Science, ideally in a SEND setting.
• A strong understanding of SEND best practices and a compassionate approach.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
• The ability to inspire and motivate students with varying needs.

Your Role

• Teach GCSE Science to students with diverse learning needs.
• Create tailored lesson plans to suit individual learning styles and requirements.
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider team to enhance student progress.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, employing strategies suited to a SEND environment.
