Flourish Education are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support in a local partnership Primary School in Quinton. This school is a 2-form entry, Ofsted ‘Good’ rated school, the school aim to provide a nurturing environment where children can flourish socially and academically.

Our client is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support within their SEND resource base, supporting children, across the Primary age range, who have SEND. The responsibilities of this role will include supporting children with a range of needs including Autism and ADHD, working in small groups and 1-1 interventions and working to EHCP’s and IEP’s.

This SEND Teaching Assistant role is a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP and continuing until the end of the academic year.

The responsibilities of this SEND Teaching Assistant Role:


  • Provide 1-1 support to students with SEND across Reception, Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
  • Assist in implementing tailored EHCP's and IEPs within the SEND Provision.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt the National Curriculum to suit individual student needs.
  • Support students with both diagnosed and undiagnosed SEND needs in a resource base within a mainstream Primary School setting.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment in line with the school's ethos.

Required Skills and Experience:


  • Previous UK TA experience in a school setting, particularly with SEND.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum, including Reception, Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
  • Experience working with EHCP’s, IEP’s, and supporting students with SEND.
  • A relevant qualification in supporting learning (Level 2 or Level 3).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
