We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual with a solid background in school-based support roles. This rewarding position is ideal for a candidate who has previously worked within the education sector, particularly in a SEND capacity, and who is ready to make a real difference in students' lives.

About the Role:
As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play an integral part in the daily support and encouragement of students with a range of special educational needs. Working closely with teaching staff, you'll assist in creating an inclusive learning environment that fosters confidence and independence. Your role will involve:

  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to SEND students.
  • Implementing tailored strategies to meet individual learning needs and objectives.
  • Helping maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Supporting the class teacher in monitoring student progress and adapting learning activities.
  • Building positive relationships with students to promote engagement and achievement.

This role requires an individual who is patient, proactive, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting young people's education and well-being. Your experience within schools will enable you to seamlessly integrate into the team and provide high-quality support from day one.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role within a school or educational setting.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting SEND students.
  • A strong understanding of SEND and an empathetic approach to addressing individual needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to enhance the learning experience for all students.
