We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs, helping them engage with learning and develop essential skills. This small specialist school provides a nurturing and supportive environment for children who require additional assistance to access mainstream education. With a focus on emotional well-being, the school caters to students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, often alongside communication and interaction challenges. Through a tailored approach, it helps each child develop confidence, resilience, and essential learning skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEND.
• Assist in delivering personalised learning activities and interventions.
• Help create a calm and structured learning environment.
• Work alongside teachers and SEN specialists to implement support plans.
• Encourage confidence, independence, and positive interactions among students.

Requirements

• Experience working with children with SEND, ASD, or SEMH needs.
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Hold an Enhanced child DBS on the udpate service.
• Should be able to work in the UK without any sponsorship
• A proactive and positive attitude towards inclusive education.
