Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Salary: £30,000 to £40,000

Lichfield with weekly travel to Wolverhampton

Bell Cornwall Recruitment are pleased to be hiring a Senior Accountant for a fantastic International Tech company. The company is looking for someone who has proven experience working in Accounts, with knowledge of SAP and who is a driver as travel to various branches is necessary!

\n

The Senior Accountant responsibilities include:

\n

\n
• Monthly management accounts
\n
• Profit & Loss and balance sheet reporting
\n
• Purchase ledger - including raising purchase orders, posting invoices, reconciliations, payment runs
\n
• Sales ledger - including creation of invoices, credit control, reconciliations
\n
• Bank postings and reconciliations
\n
• Collate payroll information for external payroll consultants, pay HMRC and payroll payments
\n
• Creation and submission of VAT returns
\n
• Fixed asset register and depreciation postings
\n
• Accruals and prepayments
\n
• Stock reporting
\n
• Intercompany reconciliations
\n
• Balance sheet reconciliations
\n
• Work with auditors, parent company and tax advisors
\n
• Preparation of forecasts and budgets.
\n

\n

Skills Needed:

\n

\n
• Experience within a similar role is critical - 2 years minimum.
\n
• SAP experience is ideal.
\n
• Ideally AAT qualified
\n
• Exceptional communication skills are necessary as communicating with clients and colleagues is a key part of the role.
\n
• An excellent attention to detail, accuracy and a high degree of numeracy and literacy are key.
\n
