Acoustic Consultant

My client is currently seeking an Acoustic Consultant to join their team. The role will entail providing specialised consulting services to guarantee adherence to British Standards and building regulations. The Acoustic Consultant will collaborate closely with design teams to ensure that acoustical design is not only cost-effective but also feasible. This position presents a wide range of projects in hospitality, education, residential, and healthcare sectors, offering numerous avenues for professional growth.

Requirements::

  • A Bachelor's or master's degree in Acoustics or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in acoustics with MIOA status.
  • A valid driver's licence.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building acoustics, particularly in construction RIBA stages 1-3.
  • Familiarity with both new construction and existing residential and commercial structures.
  • Proficiency in creating comprehensive technical reports that can be easily understood by all parties involved.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating on-site with colleagues for surveys, assessments, and supervising junior staff when necessary.
  • Efficiently managing and communicating with key stakeholders.
  • Thoroughly reviewing plans to ensure compliance with British acoustic regulations.
  • Writing technical reports and providing expert advice to clients for necessary remedies.
