This is a great opportunity to join our expanding Risk & Compliance team. You will provide administrative support to the team, including the COLP/Group Legal Compliance Officer and the Head of Compliance Operations. The role will be predominantly home-based with occasional travel to our Birmingham office required.The position is offered on a 12 month contract basis initially, with the possibility of further extension. The role would suit someone looking to develop into a Compliance Officer role.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide general support and assistance to our central Risk & Compliance team, servicing our various professional services business.Set up and maintain clear and intuitive electronic filing systems.Support with meetings, including for Risk & Security Committee (preparing agenda and document packs, taking and sharing minutes, and tracking actions through to completion).Assist with annual practising certificate renewals and maintaining SRA authorisations and approvals.Assist with creation of training programmes and maintaining accurate training records.Coordinate finalising and uploading of internal policies, procedures and guidance and ensure that our document register is kept up to date.Support with delivery of audits and other projects. Perform other administrative tasks/duties as required.Skills, Knowledge & ExpertiseSome professional services and/or customer service experience preferred.Discretion and commitment to preserving confidentiality.Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Teams, case management.Excellent communication skills.Self-starting, with strong initiative.Organised, with ability to juggle priorities to deliver excellent service in a fast-paced environment.Excellent attention to detail.Ability to complete tasks to a consistently high standard to agreed timescales.Commitment, flexibility, and a team player approachBenefits, Agile Working and Additional informationHow we work: We embrace agile working and offer a blended approach to where and how we work. The role will be predominantly home-based with occasional travel to our Birmingham office as required. This will be at least monthly and may require more frequent travel. Meet the team: Our Risk & Compliance team of around 10 people is based mainly in the Birmingham hub. Reporting to the Head of Compliance Operations, the team takes a proactive approach and works closely with the firm to manage risk, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and embed a best practice culture.
