Job Summary:

Reporting to the Engineering Group Leader, Senior Analysis Engineer will be responsible for developing landing gear analysis solutions within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to meet agreed timelines for engineering analysis deliverables. The role involves working with finite element (FE) tools, performing static stress and fatigue analysis, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Competently use FE tools such as ABAQUS for landing gear analysis.
  • Perform classical static stress and fatigue analysis.
  • Interface with Chief Engineers, Programmes, Test Engineering, Manufacturing, and other relevant areas of the business.
  • Participate in audit reviews and present information as required.
  • Engage in product validation processes.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, customers, airframers, regulatory bodies, and other industrial organizations.
  • Identify analysis solutions, recommend improvements, or suggest alternative methods.
  • Review engineering drawings, designs, concessions, and repairs.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and qualification requirements.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum HNC/Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • Good working knowledge of aerospace design and manufacturing processes, with landing gear experience being advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of various engineering functions, with experience in different engineering roles being advantageous.
  • Proficiency in recognised FEA and fatigue software tools is advantageous.
  • Experience in static and fatigue structural analysis methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience working with aerospace materials and their engineering properties.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience working in an IPT environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present information.
  • Highly organised and able to work to strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
