From our offices in Central London, New York City and Boston, we produce high quality research, deliver consulting projects and create events for senior managers, technology executives and investors.The Role:Working with an excellent team of analysts located in the firm’s UK and US offices, the analyst will play a pivotal role in providing our clients with an informed view of how firms should manage the energy transition and decarbonize their assets and business as a whole.We are looking for candidates who are interested in joining our award-winning research firm, focusing on a research area that requires passion and practicality, and building a career in one of our fastest growing research teams. Excelling in the role requires an enthusiasm for understanding how technology can improve business outcomes, experience in producing high-quality written deliverables, and the ability to contribute to client-facing engagements. Successful candidates will have the ambition to undertake a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research in collaboration with other analysts.Our analysts benefit from our structured ‘Analyst Training Framework’ which offers tailored learning which will equip high performers to progress their careers further at Verdantix.What you'll be doing:Conducting research on net zero and decarbonization-related software and services based on the established portfolio of Verdantix methodologies. Undertaking research interviews with senior managers at corporations and financial firms, as well as executives at technology vendors. Building quantitative models to size and forecast software and services markets. Efficiently writing high-quality research documents in English. Producing reports on technology vendors based on technology briefings. Supporting client workshops and consulting projects. Working on consulting projects relating to net zero and decarbonization growth strategies and product marketing thought leadership. Attending industry events to help raise the profile of Verdantix in the market. Supporting marketing efforts by writing blogs and engaging in social media activities. What we're looking for:Educated to undergraduate level with a preference for top-tier universities. Very interested to see candidates with relevant post-graduate qualifications (Masters or PhD). Alternately, 5 or more years of experience working on energy management, decarbonization or energy transition-related strategy at a consulting, research, or technology firm Experience in conducting research interviews and contributing to the development of research reports is a plus. Broader interest in the future of net zero and decarbonization. Existing subject matter expertise on how firms develop strategies to change their energy mix, make business cases for capital investments that decarbonize fixed assets, and work with software and services partners to implement decarbonization plans. Ability to articulate an informed view of the factors that will influence firms’ energy transition decisions over the next ten years. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and come up with new ideas. World class sense of humour.
