They will be required to;Ensure the Global Leadership team is provided with support and financial analysis to support business planning and decision making.Provide the financial information that other functions across GTIL require to operate effectively and efficiently to ensure those functions are supported in their ability to have a laser focus on helping firms to grow their international business and on safeguarding the network.Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date to enable correct decision making.Responsibilities include assisting day to day accounting including but not limited to, member firm fee collections, member firm bank monitoring, queries assisting, month end reporting, annual audit support, internal management reporting and monthly reconciliationsLocationUnited Kingdom or European time zones.Main responsibilitiesDay to day accountingManaging all aspects of member firm accounts including accounts payable and accounts receivablesRespond to all internal and member firms’ queries related to account billing.Prepare daily debtors report on member firm balances along with daily RAG updates based on member firm fee compliance.Prepare and share debtor balances with commentary to Network Capability team.Admin responsibility for application to HMRC (UK Tax Authority) for Certificate of Residency requests from firmsMonthly accountingLoan tracker management and work on monthly repayment and maintenance of member firm issue tracker.Monitoring overdue payments and chasing member firmsOversee the billing, reconciliation and reporting of member firm recharge balances. Resolving queries from internal and external parties on member firm recharges.Review accruals and prepayments.Admin work on data correctionsBusiness partneringSupporting the Associate Director on preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.Supporting stakeholders on a day-to-day basis with queries relating to their department.Ad hoc reports to internal users as requested.OtherAssist with preparing for the Year End Audit including any reconciliations and reporting required.Review current processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiencies and improve working practices.Person specificationLooking to start or part-way through a relevant accountant qualification.Experience of working in a financial, business to business or professional services environment.Self-starter with the ability and confidence to develop and implement their own projects and workload.Strong communication skills and ability to interact, challenge and support senior stakeholders.Very good interpersonal skills and a good team player.Good organisation and time management skills and an ability to manage multiple projects.Experience – EssentialExperience of working in a financial, business to business or professional services environment.Advanced level Microsoft Excel.Ability to work and communicate effectively in a cross-geographic, cross-organizational, and cross-cultural context.BenefitsThere are many benefits of being part of Grant Thornton International, working with a global and diverse team in a virtual setting is just one of them.
