Purpose of Position Pantheon s Performance Analytics team is responsible for calculating the firm s global performance track record spanning Private Equity, Real Assets and Private Credit. The team supports Pantheon s fundraising efforts and investment decision-making process through the production of insightful performance data on our entire family of funds, strategies and products. The position is for a Senior Associate to join our existing team (5 people in London, 1 in New York), and will be based in our London office. This is a fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave within the team. Key Responsibilities Production of quarterly performance track records for Pantheon s products and strategies covering Private Equity, Real Assets and Private Credit. Respond to ad hoc performance requests from internal teams, and indirectly to client/ consultant queries in collaboration with Investor Relations and Product Strategy teams. Collaborate with Product Specialists and the Product Strategy team to produce customised performance data that can be used externally for marketing/fundraising purposes. Production of detailed performance attribution and benchmarking analysis utilising Private Market benchmarks, peer groups and listed indices. Key contributor on project work (advanced performance analytics, creation of pro-forma track records to support new fundraising, process automation, systems enhancements), and provide support where required to senior members of the team on these projects. Provide information necessary to complete the performance section of RFP/RFIs that have been requested from external consultants and prospective clients. Represent the Performance team in meetings with key stakeholders. Use knowledge of Pantheon s track-record to suggest practical solutions to performance queries within the required deadlines. Collaborate with investment teams on ad-hoc analysis concerning the performance track-record of their funds and strategies. Assist with the production of Pantheon s Assets under management (AUM) and respond to AUM-related queries. Production of customised cashflow forecasts to assist clients investment strategies. Implement new functionality to improve the quality and timeliness of the data and apply robust controls. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and Pantheon policy (including reporting compliance risks and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct). Knowledge and Experience Required Educated to degree level in an analytical subject (e.g. Economics, Finance, Mathematics). Highly numerate with advanced Excel skills. Confident building, navigating and manipulating complex spreadsheets. Able to organise and analyse large sets of data in order to produce simple and insightful outputs. Strong attention to detail. Critically assess the quality of own work and take responsibility for delivering accurate and timely analysis. Clearly and concisely communicate performance-related concepts to key stakeholders (up to Partner level). Strong organisational skills - able to handle multiple requests at once and keep key stakeholders informed on progress. A strong teamworking ethic is essential. Willing to go beyond expectations to assist other members of the team. Ability to work independently on projects alongside regular duties/ allocated workload. Good understanding of Private Markets (Private Equity, Real Assets/Infra, Private Credit), and the investment process for each (covering primaries, secondaries, co-investments) Knowledge of Private Markets benchmarking methodologies. Experience of implementing and adhering to strong operational controls to minimise the likelihood and impact of risks. Experience of designing and building customised reports/ dashboards in PowerBI. Professional qualifications are desirable (e.g. CFA, CAIA, CIPM, IMC). Regulatory knowledge is desirable (GIPS, SEC Private Market rules).
