For more information, visit williamblair.com .Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES: Contribute to annual revenue targets set forth by senior management by identifying, recommending and closing new client commitments in William Blair’s active mandates.Participate in selling / pitching the firm’s PCA products and services to institutional investors and prospective GP clients.Keep clients apprised of the firm’s latest product offerings and current market trends.Lead dialogue with institutional investors across the relevant coverage universe. Ensure communication and knowledge sharing with the broader PCA platform.Build, cultivate and strengthen relationships with institutional investors to secure capital commitments for client strategies. Provide clients with high quality advice and insights.Target new business opportunities for PCA, expanding relationships with existing clients and identifying new clients and referral sources.Maintain knowledge of current market conditions and themes that drive markets and investor sentiment in alternative strategies.Coach, mentor and actively guide team members. Encourage team to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.Actively participate in recruiting and training activities.Ensure all activities are in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.Additional responsibilities as requested.QUALIFICATIONSPrevious relevant experience in private market distribution (private capital advisory or investor relations / fundraising).Existing network of relationships with institutional investors.Strong ability to lead fund commitment processes and conduct one-on-one meetings, group presentations and client meetings / events with minimal senior banker oversite.Strong ability to work on multiple fundraises across private markets, including private equity, private debt, special situations and real assets / infrastructure.Act as a team player that fosters sense of teamwork and community by participating in recruiting, reviews, mentoring and firm committees.Strong work ethic and ability to work in an entrepreneurial culture.Detail oriented with deep analytical abilities.Superior writing, verbal and computer skills.Strong desire to win.Sound judgement.Remains calm and focused under pressure.Deep, sophisticated understanding of alternative investment strategies.Commitment to satisfying internal and external customers.Strong proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office and CRM software.Travel required: 30 to 60%+.Location can be London or Frankfurt #LI-BC1 William Blair is an equal opportunity employer.
