About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Sales as the Senior Bid and Tender Manager you’ll be responsible for creating and managing a Bid Team whilst managing reporting and feeding back on Electric Vehicle (EV) customers. The role will support the Head of Sales and is critical to the growth of our portfolio of EV customers; contributing to the overall sales performance against targets and creating a high-quality evolving EV proposition for both the customer and Drax.

Some of the main parts of this role will include –

·       Owning the end-to-end bid tender process

·       Delivering professional and tailored bid responses that represent a FTSE 250 organisation and raise the bar within the industry

·       Responsibility for reporting on progress to a wide range of senior stakeholders up Executive Committee level.

·       You’ll plan, manage, report and feedback on the delivery of all Bids for all our electric vehicle (EV) customers.

·       Create and deliver a Bid Library; professional and tailored bids with the EV business messages that demonstrate the Drax purpose and brand to result in successful bids.

·       Develop and implement effective bid processes that fulfils best practice along with continual improvement

·       Deliver commercially sound business tenders and bids within timescales and commercial parameters that converts into new business wins

·       Approve the creating and writing of written bid proposals and templates for the Sales Team to deliver

·       Take ownership of the Qualification matrix

·       Lead internal post bid reviews that enhance our bid success and inspires a culture of always wanting to learn and do better

·       Ensuring all bids meet the Drax Brand guidelines

Who we’re looking for:

To be successful in this role you’ll need to have –

·       A track record of leading a successful Bid Team with winning flagship accounts

·       Experience in implementing strategic plans

·       Experience presenting at senior executive level

You’ll need to have knowledge of –

·       The Electric Vehicle markets

·       Key industry’s regulatory frameworks and guidelines

·       Data analysis and performance metrics

·       Bid platforms and frameworks
