Senior Bid Engineer

A highly successful division of a global engineering group supplying precision engineered products to the aerospace, defence and R&D sectors has a new vacancy for a Senior Bid Engineer. Joining at a time of new product development and company expansion, you will be responsible for generating detailed estimates and producing bid proposals, applicants are sought with a proven track record in similar position within the aerospace, automotive, defence or R&D sectors.

The Role:

Develop detailed cost estimates and bid proposals.

Monitor and report on project performance and cost control metrics.

Prepare and manage project budgets and cost forecasts.

Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure all costs are factored and taken into consideration.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Prepare detailed cost reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

The Person:

Degree in Engineering or significant equivalent experience.

Proven track record of developing complex estimates and bid proposals.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Strong understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities concurrently.
