Senior Brand Manager Westland Horticulture – market leader in gardening categories Hybrid - Alconbury Hill, Cambridgeshire Competitive Salary + Benefits The opportunity:Westland is a privately owned FMCG business supplying a wide range of products across several divisions to specialist UK retailers, grocers and a vast network of independents & wholesalers.They were established in 1990 as a compost producer, and have since diversified to growing media, lawn treatments, lawn seed, plant food, pest control, fungicides, weed killers , to name a few ! They also own the market leading brand of Unwin seeds, Kent & Stowe hardware and wild bird feed ranges Peckish, Nature’s Feast and Bucktons. Due to strong growth this year, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly creative, entrepreneurial 'Senior Brand Manager ' reporting into the Head of Marketing & Category. Purpose of the role is to oversee multiple brands across multiple categories. It is fast paced and exciting with scope to own and manage multiple projects across multiple skus. A love of brands is essential, and it is a great opportunity to work across market leading, household brands in a fun, friendly and fast paced environment ensuring that they continue to deliver award-winning gardening products to their suppliers and customers. What will my key accountabilities be?To drive Westland’s brands, championing the product portfolio within the business and with their customers and consumers.Develop strategic marketing plans across the brand portfolioCollaborate with the technical, design and commercial teams to identify areas of new product opportunity, quantifying the commercial benefits, developing product concepts and gauging trade and consumer response that add commercial value to the business, ensuring brand proposition uniqueness.Managing products through the business to bring them to market on time and profitably.Managing and delivering all consumer communication across the brandsOverseeing all relevant customer marketing comms to improve brand awarenessDeveloping all marketing materials including packaging, literature, advertising, promotions, POS , sell in literature etc. Who will I be working with? Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Category and working very closely with the wider marketing team to align and optimise brand marketing activity where appropriate. A great candidate will have:At least 4 years' experience in brand management or product marketing. FMCG product range preferred.Experience in marketing through all aspects including new product development, through the line media communication and setting the strategic direction for the brandsEvidence of growing brands, identifying growth opportunities and gaining alignment to execute against a strategic growth planProven skills in the following : brand marketing, market and competitive analysis, customer insights, marketing program development, project planning. Strong communication and presentation skills and be resilient, ambitious and adaptableThe ability to analyse and interpret performance management dataStrong attention to detail with good excel skillsGood organisational skills The ability to learn in fast-paced environmentThe ability to build relationships in a confident & personable mannerIn return for everything you can bring we can offer you: Competitive salary based on experience. 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)Pension Hybrid office and working from home model.The Process?
