Position Overview:



We are seeking a talented and ambitious Senior Building Surveyor to join a�dynamic Building Consultancy team in Greater London & the South East. This is an exciting opportunity to work with prestigious investor clients.



You will be part of a busy office, collaborating closely with other internal departments, including Investment, Agency, Managed Services, Valuations, Lease Advisory, Planning, and Rating, to provide comprehensive and commercial advice to the�clients. We are looking for a proactive and versatile Associate Building Surveyor with a strong team spirit and a commitment to delivering excellence.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Conducting Building Surveyor inspections and preparing detailed reports.

  • Developing specifications and overseeing repair and refurbishment contracts.

  • Preparing and negotiating schedules of dilapidations and formulating exit strategies.

  • Creating planned preventative maintenance plans.

  • Performing building reinstatement cost assessments.

  • Coordinating portfolio instructions and undertaking additional duties as required.

  • Building and maintaining sustainable business relationships with both external and internal clients, ensuring professional and excellent client service at all times.

  • Engaging in business development and maintaining direct client contact at a senior level.

  • Some travel will be required.



Qualifications and Skills:




  • MRICS (Building Surveying) with proven post-qualification experience in a commercial consultancy setting.

  • Proficiency in working both independently and as part of a team.

  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.

  • Excellent verbal and numerical skills, comfortable with report writing.

  • Superior time management and organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

  • Well-presented with excellent communication skills.

  • Experience with AutoCAD is advantageous.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
