Senior Building Surveyor job for a growing multidisciplinary consultancy based in Bristol, Somerset working on a mix of projects across residential, education and healthcare in mainly Somerset and Devon. Offering a salary of up to �65k + Bonus + Healthcare + some flexibility to work remotely.

They offer a multitude of services to include project management, surveying, cost consultancy, and design management, and specialise in residential and affordable housing projects for developers, Housing Associations and Local Authorities and now expanding to education and healthcare projects. Made up of around 100 employees and 4 offices, this role will involve conducting detailed inspections of high-rise residential, education and healthcare buildings, identifying defect and structural issues, suggestion of appropriate remedial works and contract administration of those works, as well as supporting on new build projects carrying out contract administration.

Role & Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed inspections of a range of buildings across residential, education and healthcare, including residential high-rise buildings

- Defect diagnosis and recommend remedial works accordingly

- Liaise with clients, residents, contractors, developers and Clerk of Works

- Defect diagnosis and structural inspections using building pathology knowledge

- Report Writing

- Project Management/contract admin of new build projects alongside Employers Agent

- Assistant with tender/procurement process

- Client liaison throughout the project.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years' experience as a Building Surveyor

- RICS Accredited Degree or similar

- RICS or working towards is preferred

- Excellent Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Fire Safety Legislation

- Experienced in high-rise residential remedial works

- High-rise residential experience alongside education and healthcare would be advantageous

- Experienced in defect diagnosis and building pathology

- Excellent report writing skills

- Consultancy background is preferred

- UK Driving Licence and own car.
