Our client is looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor into their Building Design practice – based from in Manchester.  





As a Senior Building Surveyor you will be responsible for delivery of multi-disciplinary projects from concept through to construction, on their expanding portfolio of challenging projects across the Market Sectors.  





Responsibilities of Senior Building Surveyor:  



- Working across a number of projects in different sectors, providing a range of Building Surveying duties.  



- Managing the client relationship and service delivery on a project by project basis.  





Provision of:  



- Building pathology.  



- Design and specification of projects including Net Zero schemes.  



- Project management.  



- Pre and post contract duties for projects.  



- Due Diligence Surveys, Condition surveys.  



- Contract administration.  



- Project management.  



- The use and application of standard forms of building contracts, ideally both JCT and NEC.  



- Designer level ability as defined by the CDM Regulations.







Experience Required for Senior Building Surveyor:



- BSc (Hon's) Building Surveying RICS Accredited degree.  



- Full member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.  



- Ability to demonstrate good all-round surveying experience.  



- Good team working skills and ability to communicate well at all levels.  



- Prepared to travel within the region, and into other regions where required.  



- Keeping abreast of industry issues and developments in best practice.  



- To liaise with senior colleagues to help build a profitable service and positive, high performing team environment.  



- Strong IT skills, Word and Excel as a minimum. Candidates should be able to produce, edit and format documents.  



- Good ability with AutoCAD and experience of Revit would be an advantage.  



- An awareness of BIM.  



- Full understanding of Health and Safety requirement.
