Senior Buyer

If you have a proven history of managing a purchasing team in an engineering company and expertise in supplier management, this could be the ideal role for you.

As a Senior Buyer you will take ownership for achieving the optimum value on total costs, through sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation and selection, performance monitoring and supplier relationship management.

Location - Bridgend

Salary - �45,000 - �50,000 per annum

Duties of a Senior Buyer -

• Oversee the overall management of the Purchasing team.
• Conduct performance appraisals for the purchasing department.
• Lead and manage strategic sourcing and purchasing activities for engineering operations.
• Develop sourcing strategies and lead negotiations with both domestic and international vendors and suppliers.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships and agreements.
• Monitor supplier quality, delivery performance, and contracts to ensure optimal supply base performance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in the source-to-pay process, focusing on managed spend, cost savings, and efficiencies.

Qualifications/skills/experience -

* Proven experience in management of a purchasing team in an engineering company .
* Proven experience in supplier management
