Duties and responsibilities:
Liaise with Bid/Estimating team to provide advice and support ensuring all tenders are competitive.
Agree standardised discounts and rebates with key material suppliers
Perform weekly spend analysis, ensuring correct pricing and value is achieved managing spend.
Support contracts with procurement requirements, researching, specialist sourcing, finding opportunities for value engineering/specification changes, negotiating bulk call off orders
Source and maintain regular contact with all suppliers to maintain and develop good relations with current and future supply chain members
Ensure best payment terms, negotiation and management to ensure payment on the terms agreed
Negotiating/administration of purchasing contracts, including call-off and managing as appropriate
Maintain regular communication with site management to ensure procurement schedules are being followed
Manage the procurement of materials to ensure the business has a standardised approach to orders and best value suppliers while maintaining regular contact with Site Managers etc.
Qualifications/Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role is essential
People management experience essential
Able to communicate and motivate via written media
Effective proactive liaison with other key stakeholders and departments
Good organisation and analytical skills with strong negotiating/influencing skills
Ability to project manage and co-ordinate the work of others
Must be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook
Exceptional communicator at all levels
Able to manage and prioritise work under pressure

What We Offer:
Salary £35,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience)
