Senior Buyer

We're seeking a dynamic buyer to join the procurement team and drive cost-saving initiatives across our client's aerospace manufacturing operations. In this pivotal role, you'll analyse procurement data, develop supplier relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data collection and analysis to support strategic cost and performance improvement initiatives


• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and participate in Long Term Agreement negotiations


• Collaborate with legal, technical, and financial departments on procurement projects


• Support the development and communication of Supply Chain key metrics and documentation


• Gather and share best practices for agreements and purchase orders


• Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts across the Supply Chain


• Assist in organising and facilitating internal team meetings and initiative reviews

What We're Looking For

• Experience with sourcing or purchasing (5+ years preferred)


• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel


• Experience with ERP systems and electronic procurement


• Understanding of industry-standard terms and conditions


• Knowledge of raw materials, market trends, and pricing in aerospace manufacturing


• Understanding of traceability controls, quality requirements, and certification requirements


• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Ability to influence in a matrix organisation environment
