We are now recruiting for a Senior C&I Engineer - RPS to be involved in delivering an industry leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of nuclear power station.
What we're looking for:
As a Senior C&I Engineer - RPS, you will provide technical expertise across the lifecycle of hardwired protection and accident management systems for the SMR nuclear power plant 'reactor island'.
This covers the delivery of the complete design of the systems, spanning requirements gathering, development of system architecture, sub-system design and equipment specification, and design / selection to realise the final verified design of the systems in support of the overall design of the power station.
You will do this by working closely with the engineering teams from across the reactor island and applying a structured systems engineering approach to design.
As we strive to find the best fit for this position, we are seeking individuals with a minimum level of experience, training, and qualification. Each Rolls-Royce SMR power station will have the capacity to generate 470MW of low carbon energy, equivalent to more than 150 onshore wind turbines and enough to power a million homes.
