We are very pleased to be able to present this is fantastic cross-discipline opportunity within the Subsea Cables and CBRA Design world. Our client are a global leading Consultancy and this is a critical role within their subsea cable offering, who focus on providing innovative solutions and support to their clients at the highest industry standards.We are looking for someone who will drive the analysis of our clients complex interplay between seabed conditions, installation constraints, burial tool performance, met ocean climate and the maritime users, to engineer optimum solutions in terms of cost, risk, interconnector and oil and gas projects.This individual will support the overall development of the subsea cables team, including (but not limited too);The management and engineering leadership of projects in conjunction with other senior staff and Technical Discipline Leads across the geoscience teamHelp to identify personal research and development goalsAlign with team objectives and pursue them alongside and between project commitments.Support and contribute to the direction of research and development within the subsea cables team alongside the business unit Leader.Duties and Responsibilities:Lead and undertake routing, CBRA, cable route ground models, survey consultancy, burial assessment, crossing design, landfall design and installation support for cables in the marine environment.Participate in engineering, consultancy and advisory projectsWork collaboratively within an integrated geoscience team comprising GIS, engineering geology, geophysical and geotechnical disciplines, and the marine operations teamInterface with, and lead support for, other disciplines within the business, such as marine warranty, marine engineering, design and softwareTo write comprehensive and detailed reports, and document reviewsSpecific Skills, Knowledge and Experience requiredMEng, or BEng+MSc degrees in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, engineering geology, geotechnical or similar related disciplineDemonstrable experience in the offshore sector and the delivery of similar related projects, with experience in offshore wind considered highly advantageousIdeally - this person will be Chartered, or working towards Chartered status - but our client are happy to support with this as wellAny previous exposure to interpretation of offshore geological and geotechnical dataKnowledge of the subsea cable engineering and installation supply chain, including trenching methods and assets present or under development in industryExperienced in the provision of routing, CBRA and Burial Assessment throughout the project lifecycle - would be hugely advantageousAny previous exposure to the mechanical side of Subsea Engineering would also be of interest, including cables, umbilical's and interconnectors.Our client are extremely flexible in terms of Hybrid / Remote work and we would also be happy to consider sponsorship for the right profile as well.
