In this pivotal role, you will leverage your construction claims expertise to provide professional advice and support to clients on complex commercial and contractual matters.Position OverviewAs a Senior Commercial Consultant, you will play a key role in assisting clients and internal colleagues in avoiding and resolving construction disputes. Working closely with the consultancy's delay analysts and solicitors, you will provide expert advice on contentious and non-contentious time-related matters, ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects.ResponsibilitiesReview and provide expert advice on construction contractsAssist clients and colleagues in avoiding disputes through professional, commercially-focused adviceProvide guidance on issues related to loss and delay in construction projectsCollaborate with delay analysts to address time-related mattersDeliver training to clients on commercial, contractual, and time-related topicsRepresent clients in various tribunals and dispute resolution proceedingsProvide professional assistance to solicitors in construction disputesOffer managerial support to the Divisional LeadRequirementsExtensive experience in providing professional construction commercial and contractual advice or working in a senior commercial role for a contracting organisationProven track record in dispute avoidance and resolutionDemonstrated ability to build and lead teams effectivelyHigh level of practical and academic understanding of commercial and contractual mattersAssertive, confident, and comfortable in a meeting environmentCapability to deliver high-quality services consistentlySignificant experience and working knowledge of JCT and NEC Forms of ContractConstruction degree, ideally in Quantity Surveying, with a minimum of 10+ years' industry experienceChartered status or other relevant professional qualificationsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong time management abilitiesGoal-driven mindset focused on personal and business successCompany OverviewWith a strong client portfolio and five strategically located offices across the UK, this multi-disciplinary construction consultancy specialises in dispute avoidance, expert witness services, dispute resolution, training, project management, commercial management, programme management, and risk analysis & mitigation.
