Senior Commercial Manager

BAM Nuttall are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Senior Commercial Manager to work within the RIIOT2 Framework. You will be required to manage a variety of projects within the Framework across Scotland mainly in the Highlands and Islands.

Your mission
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Maintain effective communications with the Framework Director, commercial managers, project teams and Divisional Commercial Manager
Prepare management reports for presentation to the senior leadership team
Be responsible for staff matters which may include staff succession awareness, recruitment, development, attitude and behavioural issues, competency and retainment issues, staff allocation
Provide commercial contact with key supply chain partners through pre-contract meetings, contract vetting and input to subcontract documents
Ensure audits are carried out and feedback is provided to the business
Provide commercial input to contacts with clients, and if necessary, client's representatives
Regular meetings with the clients senior representatives and building relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external)
Provide commercial advice to the commercial managers in connection with all project issues and provide input to area commercial discussions / reviews
Take part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy
Provide input to dispute identification and management
Produce and negotiate insurance claims with insurer's representatives
Agree terms and engage legal and commercial consultants and monitor their accounts
Carry out sub-contract document vetting and input to sub-contract documentation
Who are we looking for?
Successful experience as a Senior Commercial Manager, or similar, working with multiple projects and with a minimum of 4 years in this role
Joint Venture experience
Member of a Professional Institution or working towards application of the ICES, or similar
Open collaborative approach and willing to help and assist those around you
Educated to Degree level in a relevant Commercial, Construction or Project Management qualification (preferred but not essential)
