Contract: Senior Commissioning ManagerRecruitment Agency Reference: 83258A position has arisen for an interim Senior Commissioning Manager targeted at Lung Health Checks. The role is placed within a highly reputable healthcare organisation located in the Derbyshire region, and takes responsibility for a range of commissioning categories.Your duties will include:Work with JUCD and regional colleagues to develop an options appraisal to lead on local implementation of the Targeted Lung Health Checks programme (TLHC)Support the business in driving transformation, as well as value for money in planning, commissioning and serviceBuild a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service deliveryProvide direction and line management to the commissioning team on a day-to-day basis, as well supporting the Head of Service in the implementation of strategyCo-ordinating the delivery of QIPP through relevant work streams and commissioning managersSupporting and chairing relevant meetings and workstreamsWork collaboratively with relevant partner organisations including ICB, Local Authorities, primary care etc, and JUCD programme BoardsProvide reports and updates, as well developing/assisting in the delivery of financial and activity dashboards to support the TLHC programmeLeading the review of services where necessary, alongside engendering matrix working across the team and with other teams within the ICB.The successful candidates should have:Experience within the public sector and commissioningEducated to a masters level or have the equivalent experience of working at a senior level within cancer related servicesExtensive knowledge of the national and local cancer agendaThis would be an ideal role for a driven Senior Commissioning Manager who is searching for their next interim role.
